Pitched both games of the doubleheader on Saturday, allowing five and four hits in the 2-1 and 1-0 wins ... Struck out 10 in the series opener to break her own LMU season record of 227 set last year ... Picked up her 20th win of the season in the 1-0 victory ... Struck out nine in firing a four-hitter in the 4-2 win to complete the sweep.

In the series opener, hit two solo HRs, including one in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie in the 2-1 win ... In game one on Sunday, went 3x3 with two HRs and six RBI ... Hit a two-run HR to break a 1-1 tie in the third and later hit her second career grand slam with the Lions’ leading 4-3 as Loyola Marymount went on to an 8-6 victory.

LMU’s four-game sweep of Sacramento State extended its winning streak to seven games, tying its season-high ... It was LMU’s first four-game sweep of the Hornets since 2004 ... SR RHP Tiffany Pagano broke her own school single-season strikeout record in the first game Saturday and now has 251 this season ... She also reached 20 victories for the second consecutive season ... Her victory on Sunday was the 70th of her career, breaking the school record ... Classmate 3B/UTL Tracy Cook made her first appearances of the season on Senior Day, going 2x4 with an RBI and two runs scored in game one ... LMU finished 20-7 at Smith Field, winning 20 home games for the second straight season ...  Head Coach Gary Ferrin needs three victories for

PORTLAND STATE VIKINGS

The Vikings snapped a streak of four consecutive losses in one-run games with a 6-5 victory in the series finale over Saint Mary’s (CA) ... Portland State lost its first extra-inning game of the year, with the 1-0 loss to the Gaels i nthe nightcap of last Saturday’s doubleheader ... The Vikings are now 5-1 in extra-inning contests ... Portland State recorded its 12th double-digit game of the season with 11 during the 6-5 win in last weekend’s series finale ... The Vikings are now 10-2 when recording at least 10 hits in a game ... JR CF Jackie Heide failed to reach base safely in game two of the Saint Mary’s series, snapping her streak of 18 consecutive games of reaching base safely ... Portland State concludes 10-game homestand with a four-game PCSC series this weekend against Loyola Marymount.

SACRAMENTO STATE HORNETS

After entering last week all alone in first place in the conference standings, Sacramento State was swept in four games by Loyola Marymount, dropping the Hornets all the way down to fourth place ... The Hornets’ four-game losing streak marks their longest of the season ... JR RHP Kayla Meeks has hit safely in each of her last eight games ... Sacramento State, which has finished in second place in the league standings each of the last three years, is attempting to win its first PCSC championship ... Sacramento State has not advanced to the NCAA Regionals since the 1995 season ... The Hornets will conclude the regular season with four-game series against Santa Clara (home) and San Diego (away), teams Sacramento State combined to go 6-2 against last season.

SAINT MARY’S GAELS

Last week the Gaels split their PCSC series with Portland State, and now have a 7-5 conference record, good enough for second in the standings ... The Gaels are tied with Portland State in the second place slot, and are just one game behind Loyola Marymount (8-4) ... Saint Mary’s received two outstanding outings from FR RHP Maryann Cronin in the circle, earning both the Gaels’ wins and posting a 0.34 ERA ... The FR currently ranks first in the PCSC in ERA, tabbing a 0.72 mark in conference games ... The RHP has also held her PCSC opponents to a .204 batting average, while pitching 29.1 innings in conference ... SR Megan Galloway had a stellar week at the plate, posting a .500 BA ... The SR recorded three runs, five hits, two doubles, two HRs, and six RBI in five games, accumulating a 1.300 slugging percentage and a .583 OBA ... Galloway now ranks second on the team in HRs and RBI with five and 17, respectively ... As a team Saint Mary’s ranks 11th in the country in double plays turned, tabbing 18 twin killings this season ... Last weekend the Gaels posted their first triple play, sitting down the Vikings in the bottom of the sixth, and eventually winning 1-0 after eight inning of play.

SAN DIEGO TOREROS

San Diego snapped a five-game losing streak with a 9-5 win in game two of last Saturday’s doubleheader against Santa Clara ... JR 1B Lindsey Fleet hit .500 in five games last week, going 8x16 with two RBI ... SO LHP Jessi Waers was 1-2 with a 1.72 ERA (20.1 IP, 5 ER) in three starts, including recording two complete games ... The Toreros travel to Moraga, CA this weekend for a four-game series against Saint Mary’s.

SANTA CLARA BRONCOS

Santa Clara split its four-game series at San Diego last weekend and remain in the PCSC title hunt, trailing first-place Loyola Marymount by three games with eight to go ... The Bronocs are 5-3 on the road in PCSC play ... Santa Clara plays the PCSC’s lone midweek game, hosting Hawai’i Wednesday ... The Broncos will then travel to Sacramento State for a four-game PCSC set this weekend.
